Why UMASHI Was Started

Living in Japan showed me what vending can be — high tech, intentional, reliable, convenient, and stocked with things people actually want. As someone who loves food and convenience, that experience stuck with me.

Back home, I started noticing how many properties with vending machines were stuck with old equipment — no cashless payments, outdated setups, barely maintained. And then you have luxury condos that don’t have vending at all, mostly because they’ve never seen it done well. Both types of buildings could genuinely benefit from a modern, clean, fully managed vending amenity.

UMASHI is my way of raising the standard. Clean, smart machines that stay stocked, look good, and don’t create extra work for property managers. Simple, reliable, fully managed.

I keep my placements small on purpose so each location gets real attention and consistent service. If I place a machine somewhere, I take care of it.
